Will WrightAt their September meeting, the board of the Galveston ISD Educational Foundation voted on its 2015-2016 board of directors. Assuming the role of President is Will Wright. Originally from Canyon, Texas, Will moved to Galveston in 2007. He is the Director of Communications and Special Events for Galveston Historical Foundation, Creative Director and Owner of Willthing, LLC, co-owner of Islander By Choice and co-founder of the TWELVE Project with his wife, Shannon Guillot-Wright. They reside in Galveston with their son, Dean.

“Working with GEF over the past few years has been a fantastic experience,” states Wright. “I’m extremely proud to serve as the foundation’s president this year and continue to help GEF raise much needed funding for Galveston’s educators.”

“Will has a proven track record of leadership on the board of directors for the Educational Foundation having served three years on the board and as chair of our Community Outreach Committee,” explains GEF Executive Director Erin Kay. “We are lucky to have him at the helm, and I’m confident he will direct our organization to new heights.”
