The Galveston ISD Educational Foundation (GEF) is proud to announce the launch of a Ball High School and Central High School Alumni Directory Project. Over the next several months, Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI), GEF’s partner on the project, will be contacting alumni via mail, e-mail, and phone calls to request that alumni update their information.
The information gathered via this project will enable GEF to stay in touch with alumni more effectively and efficiently. The directory will be a valuable resource for alumni providing up-to-date information on classmates, friends, and associates. Additionally, the directory can assist alumni class leaders with reunion planning.
GEF encourages all Ball High and Central High alumni to support this effort and participate in this important project by contacting PCI to update your information. Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions regarding the directory project:
I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information. They said they were working on a directory for GEF. Is this a legitimate project, or is it a scam?
PCI is a company located in Dallas, TX and Chesapeake, VA that publishes directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities, and military organizations across the nation. This project allows GEF to receive important updates to its database in order to know more about alumni and how best to serve them.
How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?
GEF has a contractual agreement with PCI that states:
The names, addresses, and information provided to PCI by GEF for the publication of the directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the directory and except as required by court order or law.
The directory will be made available only to alumni of Ball High and Central High School. Upon completion of the project, PCI will return to GEF any and all electronic files that have been supplied to GEF or produced by PCI in connection with the production of the directory.
I would like to verify and update my information. How may I do this?
If you have received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a dedicated representative for the project. The representative will verify all the information on file for you and make any updates where needed.

Can anyone purchase a directory?
The alumni directory publication is available for sale only to Ball High and Central High School alumni.
Can I choose some or all of my information not to be printed in the directory?
When alumni call to update their information, they can tell the representative what information they would prefer to have excluded. This may also be communicated to the PCI customer service desk at 1-800-982-1590.
